my mother and i have been caring for my father who hasn’t been well for the last few months. since i’ve moved back home i’ve been in charge of meal planning. my father has this thing for yeast bread, so i decided to once again try my luck with yeast (i failed miserably in the past…) and make some challah. well. to be honest i decided to make some french toast. josh told me that french toast tastes best when made with challah, so after hitting google and learning about challah, i finally made some myself yesterday night (i used this recipe and this four strand braiding technique). let me tell you – this one goes in my recipe book. it was super easy to make, it is delicious, and it has an aesthetic do die for. can you sense my excitement?
we’ll have breakfast for dinner tonight: challah french toast. two bird with one stone, right?!
